It is far better to grow healthy kids than to fix injured adults

The best time to begin chiropractic care is before birth, the second best time is now.

From birth to age 7 children undergo a tremendous amount of neurodevelopment, which is why it is essential to have children checked by a chiropractor. Dysfunction in the nervous system can present in many different ways, and if left untreated may lead to issues later on in life. Although chiropractors do not specifically treat these conditions, by removing the interference to the nervous system many parents note a reduction in the following symptoms:

Colic, Breast Feeding Issues, GERD, Sleep Disturbances, Sensory Processing Disorders, ADHD, Mood Swings, Sports Injuries, Anxiety and Stress

My job as your family’s chiropractor is to detect areas of spinal misalignment and nervous system interference and correct them using gentle, specific chiropractic adjustments. This is what allows your child’s body the ability to better adapt to their environment. For parents, I make sure to explain every single part of the process. I am also happy to demonstrate the pressure of an adjustment to you first so you can experience just how gentle it really is. We are also so excited to unveil our new unicorn pediatric adjusting table!

Dr. Rebecca understands that your family may have specific needs, especially in cases with children who have sensory, learning, or developmental disorders. We are honored and happy to accommodate you and your family in any way that we can. Please let us know prior to your first appointment so that I may provide the best experience possible for you and your family.

Did you know that Dr. Rebecca is also an IBCLC (International Board Certified lactation consultant)? After her experience with her son she has made it her mission to bring comprehensive prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care to southern Maine, now including lactation!
